Little Booklets

(ERETZ) Mixed Media 2014 My booklets are inspired by a line in a poem by a prominent chinese poet in the Tang Dynasty, Du Fu. It is a wonderfully succinct line that quietly celebrates one of the many natures of change; the idea that there is subtlety in influence, giving rise to a growth that is not instantaneously noticeable; redolent of a out of rain that comes in the night, softly giving life to vast pastures. My booklets are a record of moments. Of a concatenation that describes formal nuances. Of little collisions in spaces of time, collisions which , depending on the attachment of self to the corporeal world, either negate or define our presence. Rachel graduated from NYGH AEP in 2011 and is currently pursuing her degree in Fine Arts at LASALLE College of the Arts. |
